About Northcote Green

Northcote Green is the proposed revitalisation of the southern portion of the existing Northcote Plaza precinct, which is currently undergoing a planning process led by local family-owned developer LAS Group.

The revitalised precinct has been proposed to include significant improvements to the public realm including a new public site-through link, landscaped community areas, significantly enhanced activation of the Separation Street exchange, pop-up spaces, bike paths, food and beverage tenancies, a residents’ cinema, and more, all of which will combine to create a bustling town centre in the heart of Northcote.

The new precinct, which is being proposed as an extension of the existing Northcote Plaza building, will improve amenity for traders and community – importantly, the Plaza will remain operational during construction works and beyond, with no entrances or existing tenancies impacted.

World-renowned architecture practice Fender Katsalidis has been appointed to design the precinct with Northcote’s character at heart, with the proposed material palette paying homage to the site’s former use as the Northcote Brickworks brick factory and kiln. Extensive greenery that will seamlessly link Northcote to nature, and landscaped areas will encourage community connection.
